This issue of the journal has a dossier which has been coordinated by Dr Glòria Munilla on the subject of "Cultural Management, a New Discipline?"; as well as a series of articles on aspects ranging from technology in training geographers, troubadour love and chats, or the campaign to gain the .cat domain, to the use of internet searches as a tool to correct grammar.
With this issue, we are now taking further steps to consolidate the structure (advisors and editorial boards) and the peer review procedures, which are now fully operational, whilst the continual formal improvements have also borne fruit.
The journal has been included in a number of directories (scientific journal, library and general directories), both here and abroad, web pages and subject directories, and the main internet search engines, from amongst which we would highlight our inclusion in Latindex and DOAJ.

From this issue on Digithum offers readers the chance to search all the articles published in it and in the other e-journals from the UOC by author, title, abstract, keyword, date of publication or subject matter.
All the articles in issue 8 of Digithum have been published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 licence.

Proposals have to meet the journal’s editorial line (subjects relating to the point of confluence between the humanities discipline and the knowledge society, the applications and impact of information and communication technology). The texts have to be original.
The deadline for sending texts in for the next issue (number 9) is December 31 2006, for publication in May 2007.
